About the Role

The Manager, Provincial Initiatives is a strategic leadership position responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of innovative strategies that deliver on the two-pronged approach of transforming primary care and sustaining family practice.

This role provides strategic leadership and decision-making to achieve common goals with senior executive-level stakeholders from the Ministry of Health, Health Authorities, and health sector organizations, academic institutions, and the Divisions of Family Practice.

The Manager directly oversees a team and leads high-profile strategies from inception to implementation to expansion planning in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design and implementation of innovative strategies to transform primary care and sustain family practice.
  • Provide strategic leadership and decision-making to achieve common goals with senior executive-level stakeholders.
  • Directly oversee a team and lead high-profile strategies from inception to implementation to expansion planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or graduate university degree and/or recognized professional designation.
  • Up to six years of progressive and related experience; or an equivalent level of related work experience in lieu of post-secondary education.
  • Knowledge of health regions, current issues, and trends is required, and experience working with health authorities, facilities, and physicians is preferred.
