About the Role:


We are seeking a skilled Audio Visual Technician to join our team at PeopleToGo. As an AV Technician, you will be responsible for installing and integrating audio visual systems for our customers across Canada.



Key Responsibilities:

• Completes Home Theater product installs for customers, ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience.
• Optimizes audio/video equipment for optimal performance using standard control interfaces.
• Performs wireless and/or wired networking as required for product/installation.
• Interacts with customers to explain installation procedures and system functionality in a customer-friendly manner.
• Uses customer lifestyle knowledge to recommend additional products and services that enhance the customer's experience.
• Performs picture and sound tests with customers present.
• Moves and installs products into customer homes.
• Completes paperwork and obtains necessary signatures.
• Provides exceptional customer service during all interactions and follows up with relevant personnel when necessary.
• Completes routine functionality tests and basic cleaning of equipment as applicable.
• Ensures job sites are cleaned up to company standards.
• Installs surround sound, audio, and video equipment.
• Trains customers on system use and maintenance.



Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in flat panel and home theater integration deployment services.
• Detailed working knowledge of various consumer electronic products, including TVs, HDTVs, LCDs, VCRs, DVD players, digital cameras, camcorders, Hi-Fi audio equipment, and car audio systems from manufacturers such as SONY, PANASONIC, RCA, SAMSUNG, JVC, KENWOOD, etc.
• Experienced in using associated test equipment, including oscilloscopes, frequency counters, pattern generators, and multimeters.
• Strong diagnostic and analytical skills, as well as excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
• Possess excellent written and oral communication skills, with a strong command of the English language, and the ability to perform tasks accurately and thoroughly with minimal errors.
• Ability to work under pressure, foster a positive work environment, and assist coworkers and supervisors.
• Intermediate skills with MS Office applications required.
• Grade 12 or equivalent desired, although a combination of relevant education, training, and experience will be considered.
• Electronics Diploma and additional manufacturer authorizations are an asset.
• A+ Certification is not required but will be considered an asset.



Compensation:

Paid a fixed rate per service call.
