About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team at Magga Energy Corporation. As an Environmental Sustainability Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting our organization's commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Environmental Plans: Assist in developing and implementing environmental plans and strategies to minimize our organization's environmental footprint.
  • Conduct Environmental Assessments: Conduct environmental assessments and surveys to identify areas for improvement and develop recommendations for sustainable practices.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and maintenance, to ensure that environmental considerations are integrated into all aspects of our business.
  • Provide Environmental Training and Support: Provide environmental training and support to employees to ensure that they have the knowledge and skills necessary to implement sustainable practices.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in environmental sustainability and apply this knowledge to our operations.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in Environmental Engineering Technology, Environmental Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Experience in environmental sustainability, environmental engineering, or a related field is an asset.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of environmental principles and practices, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Work Environment: Work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a focus on environmental sustainability.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a variety of environments, including office and field settings, and to lift up to 25 pounds.

  • Language: English.
