AHS Altimate Home Solutions Inc is seeking a skilled tradesperson to join our team as a carpenter. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, with experience in preparing estimates, layouts, and tenders. They will also be responsible for measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Prepare tenders and quotations
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
