About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at Ruthven Greenhouse Construction Ltd. As a Construction Laborer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading Materials: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the construction site.
  • Reading Blueprints: Read blueprints to determine work requirements and ensure that all tasks are completed accurately.
  • Mixing and Applying Materials: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt as required.
  • Assisting in Construction: Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs, as well as leveling earth to fine grade specifications.
  • Paving and Raking: Pave and rake asphalt as needed.
  • Demolition and Debris Removal: Assist in demolishing buildings and removing rubble and other debris from construction sites.
  • Traffic Direction: Direct traffic at or near construction sites to ensure a safe working environment.
Work Environment

As a Construction Laborer, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results. You will be required to work under pressure and handle heavy loads, as well as work in a physically demanding environment.

Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Be able to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Tools and Equipment: Provide your own steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, and safety glasses/goggles.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
  • Hours of Work: 40 hours per week.
