Job Description

Canada Post is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Delivery Agent to join our team. As a Delivery Agent, you will be the face of Canada Post in your community, ensuring customers and businesses receive their mail and parcels in a timely and efficient manner.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for sorting and preparing mail and packages for delivery, loading and driving a postal vehicle, and interacting with customers in a professional and courteous manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sort and prepare mail and packages for delivery
  • Load and drive a postal vehicle
  • Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 5 or Class G driver's licence with a safe driving record
  • Physical ability to lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry items weighing up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly throughout the day
  • Ability to work in all types of weather
  • Availability to be on-call
  • Ability to read, write and speak English and/or French
