About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Bellevue Fabricating LTD. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for conducting research, designing power plants, machines, and equipment, and planning and managing projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of mechanisms, components, and systems.
  • Design and develop mechanical systems, including power plants, machines, and equipment.
  • Plan and manage projects, including preparing material, cost, and timing estimates, reports, and design specifications.
  • Prepare detailed drawings, charts, and plans, as well as survey notes and reports.
Support for Diversity and Inclusion
  • Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
  • Support the social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees, including facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
  • Recruit newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster.
  • Offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees.
  • Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in mechanical design and development.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
