About the Role

Bunge is seeking a highly skilled Quality Management System Specialist to join our team in Hamilton. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our products, as well as maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the Quality Management System, including HACCP, SQF, and GMP+, to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate customer complaints and provide responses, including corrective actions.
  • Ensure product formulations and operating conditions are current and available to staff.
  • Work with the QA Manager and Bunge R&D to improve current products and address problems.
  • Ensure technical aspects of products meet regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Promote awareness of customer and regulatory requirements through ongoing training.
  • Verify and maintain the Quality and Food/Feed Safety systems.
  • Supervise and enforce documentation related to the Quality and Food/Feed Safety systems.
  • Verify Sanitation Forms, CCPs, Pre shipment Verification, HACCP Prerequisites, Daily Supervisors Report.
  • Conduct third-party audits and participate in Job Hazard Analyses, Near-Miss Reporting, and other safety-related activities.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in a science or technical field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • 7+ years of lab experience in oils & fats, food processing, grain milling, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or related industry.
  • Self-starter with good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to read and interpret various directives, complete routine reports, and contribute to Root Cause Failure analysis reviews.
  • Experience with an ERP, such as SAP, is preferred.
