At EHN Canada, we are dedicated to supporting individuals with elevated and unique needs. Our Complex Needs Emergency Facility Regina provides essential services to people who require specialized emergency shelter support. As part of an interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with clients to provide comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement guidance in accordance with statutory and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering client care according to the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Saskatchewan
  • Providing ongoing client care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning implementation, and evaluation
  • Formulating and implementing client care plans
  • Safely implementing physician's orders
  • Administering medications to clients
  • Maintaining current progress records on clients according to legal and ethical standards
  • Orientating, facilitating, and reinforcing client's involvement in addiction treatment
  • Deciding and initiating course of action in case of medical emergencies
  • Providing supportive counselling to clients, families, and/or significant others on typical recovery issues
  • Maintain a therapeutic environment on the unit conducive to the client learning productive patterns of living
  • Providing ongoing health teaching to clients in relation to common health problems and the clients maintaining a healthy lifestyle
  • Co-ordinating individual client appointments and referrals
  • Actively participating with team members in the assessment, planning, and evaluation of the client and his care
  • Assisting the public with crisis intervention and information on addiction

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Licensed Practical Nurses with pharmacological training
  • Licensed Practical Nurse registered in the Province of Saskatchewan
  • Current basic CPR
  • Recent clinical experience, including medication administration and leadership duties
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular and consistent basis
  • Leadership/Charge experience preferred
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated use of proper body mechanics and ability to perform heavy lifting
  • Knowledge of/experience with a team-based person-centered care approach
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of the interdisciplinary team

Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
