Job Overview:

The Principal Environmental Specialist will be tasked with solving complex Environment-related problems and work independently with minimal guidance. The Principal Environmental Specialist may be responsible for leading functional teams or projects and is regarded as a specialist in the Environmental field. As such, they must have in-depth environmental expertise and broad knowledge of the Environment discipline within the Health Safety Environment Security function.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement environmental strategies and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to resolve complex environmental issues and improve operational efficiency.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on environmental matters to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement sustainable practices and reduce environmental impact.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging environmental trends and technologies to inform strategic decisions.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in environmental management or a related field.
  • Proven track record of leading environmental initiatives and driving business results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary Range: 120,000 CAD to 155,000 CAD
