About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team at NORTHCON CORP. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our financial systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other financial documents.
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping: Perform various accounting and bookkeeping tasks, such as reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, and maintaining general ledgers.
  • Payroll and Benefits: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, as well as maintain accurate records of employee benefits and compensation.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including trial balances, income statements, and balance sheets.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and laws, and identify and mitigate potential financial risks.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency in financial software and systems.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 35-hour workweek. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced office environment and will be expected to maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive financial information.
