Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and highly organized Instrumentation Engineering Technology Co-op student to join our Maintenance team for a four-month term. This role offers learning opportunities and a challenging environment in a growing business.

Responsibilities
  • Work with our Red Seal Instrumentation team to install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation equipment within the facility.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving instrumentation-related issues.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
  • Currently registered as a student in an accredited post-secondary Instrumentation Engineering Technology program.
  • Valid Class five (5) driver's license.
  • Ability to work proficiently in a variety of tasks.
  • Self-driven, independent thinker with initiative.
  • Open to future growth and development opportunities within Koch Fertilizer.
Work Environment

The work environment requires and includes:

  • Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Availability for shift work and emergency call out.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work at heights.
  • Occasional exposure to fumes/airborne particles.
  • Ability to wear a gas mask-type respirator and PPE.
  • Tolerance to occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles and toxic/caustic chemicals with appropriate PPE.
  • Unassisted physical mobility in and around plant and equipment.
  • Ability to sit, stand, kneel as necessary.
  • Ability to travel to and enter site to access equipment.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Compensation

The hourly wage for this position is $28.21, with overtime hours paid at double time.
