Job Summary:

The Retail Merchandiser is a part-time role that plays a crucial part in the field merchandising team. Reporting to the Territory Manager, this role is responsible for maintaining Hallmark Canada departments in mass channel accounts, including ordering, receiving, and merchandising of product in accordance with a master schedule and merchandising plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports merchandising services with inventory management and merchandising activities in assigned retail accounts or several retail accounts, including everyday and seasonal products.
  • Maintains scheduled service visits each week and stays within set budgets, which may vary depending on retail occasions.
  • Follows merchandising plans, productivity standards, and schedules provided, with attention to detail to ensure efficient and productive execution.
  • Provides additional support to cover vacant accounts, holiday periods, and seasonal peak demand periods.
  • Supports department revisions, remerchandising, relocations, and new store installations as required.

Communication Skills:

  • Maintains ongoing scheduled and unscheduled communication with the Territory Manager to ensure current knowledge of upcoming programs and in-store activities.
  • Liaises with account management as a Hallmark representative relative to scheduled service calls and builds/maintains strong working relationships with account-level management.
  • Communicates clearly with the Territory Manager to ensure accounts are being serviced and merchandised to meet or exceed retail standards.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience in a retail environment is beneficial
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Strong knowledge of smartphone technology and ability to effectively manage an email account
