The Opportunity:
Maple Leaf Foods is seeking a highly skilled Senior Internal Auditor to join our team. As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness of our internal controls and providing valuable insights to our business partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute internal audit and advisory reviews to ensure the adequacy and operating effectiveness of our internal controls.
- Document findings clearly in working papers and prepare draft audit and advisory reports.
- Present engagement findings to senior management and work with them to gain alignment and ensure action plans address issues.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal audit processes and internal control matters.
- Support the CEO/CFO Certification (C3) operational effectiveness assessments of internal controls over financial reporting and disclosure controls and procedures.
What You'll Bring:
- A strong desire to build a career in internal audit and risk management.
- Results-oriented high performance and a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to solve challenges independently and work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong project management skills and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- CPA, CA, or MBA required; CIA and CISA designations an asset.
- 3-7 years of experience in audit/assurance, with internal audit experience preferred.
