Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at The Royal Mental Health Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing psychological evaluations and risk assessments, as well as developing and implementing evidence-based forensic programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and risk assessments for individuals with severe mental illness.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based forensic programs, including individual and group therapy.
  • Provide clinical supervision and training to staff on mental health and forensic best practices.
  • Participate in research and program evaluation, including grant proposals and presentations.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
  • Supervise pre-doctoral practicum students and residents in psychology.
  • Participate in academic activities, including supervision and professional development.
Qualifications
  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from a CPA/APA accredited program.
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
  • Authorized areas of practice in Clinical Psychology and Forensic Psychology.
  • Authorized client population: adults.
  • Preference for additional Authorized areas of practice in Clinical Neuropsychology and Authorized client population with youth and seniors.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in conducting forensic research and related program evaluation.
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is considered an asset.
