The Opportunity

">

Leavitt Machinery is seeking a highly skilled Field Technician to join our team in Fort McMurray, Alberta. The successful candidate will report directly to the Service Manager and be responsible for critical machinery repair tasks required by our loyal customers.

This position is unionized under the Alberta Collective Agreement.

Job Description

">

Key responsibilities include:

">
  • ">
  • Adequately diagnosing and repairing heavy machinery and lift equipment as required by customers;">
  • Builiding strong relationships with customers, communicating a clear understanding of job scopes and repair requirements;">
  • Conducting tasks assigned from the Dispatcher, maintaining communication and providing updates as needed;">
  • Preparing all required parts before visiting job sites;">
  • Actively communicating with the Parts department to ensure required parts are available;">
  • Completing work order forms for assigned jobs;">
  • Adhering to warranty policies, and completing necessary warranty documentation;">
  • Reporting any safety incidents according to company policy;">
  • Maintaining proper documentation as needed;">

Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • ">
  • A Provincial Heavy Duty or Automotive Journeyperson's ticket, or 5+ years of proven experience in a related industry;">
  • A valid driver's license required;">
  • A strong work ethic and positive attitude;">
  • The ability to communicate effectively and professionally with external customers and internal stakeholders;">
  • The ability to travel to customer sites within the local region as needed;">

The base pay range for this role is: $59.95 to $67.94 per hour depending on experience. There is also a $3.25 per hour shift premium for this role in addition to the hourly rate.
