Mobile Crisis Intervention Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse

Are you passionate about providing critical care to individuals in crisis? We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our Mobile Integrated Crisis Response team at Fraser Health Authority. As a key member of our interprofessional care team, you will provide emergency on-site assessments, crisis interventions, and stabilization services to individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use issues.
Responsibilities:
• Respond to crisis situations by assessing clients' needs, coordinating responses with police and emergency providers, and providing outreach, treatment, and referrals.
• Conduct mental health and risk assessments in coordination with police officers, and develop treatment options and care plans with clients and healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to identify client care issues, collect data, and develop recommendations for quality improvement and research activities.
• Participate in case conferences to develop community care plans for high users of crisis and emergency services, and promote the Mobile Integrated Crisis Response Program to stakeholders and community members.
Qualifications:
• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing, and current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Two years of recent related experience providing treatment services to individuals with mental health and/or concurrent disorders, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage.
