Camp Potlatch is a rustic wilderness site located on acres along the picturesque shores of Howe Sound, providing a natural gateway into the rugged landscape of British Columbia's South Coast. Our camp offers a unique opportunity to work in a beautiful and unspoiled environment, surrounded by sandy beaches and hiking trails.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

We are seeking a diverse staff team to work with us throughout our camping season, which begins in May and wraps up by the end of October. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing a fun and safe camping experience for children and youth ages 7-16. This includes leading programs such as canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, archery, and more.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Standard First Aid with CPR "C" certification
  • Bronze Cross Swimming Certification (must complete within 2 years)
  • Previous camping experience
  • Previous experience working with children and youth

Preferred Qualifications

  • Wilderness First Aid or Occupational First Aid certification
  • First Aid Level 3 certification
  • National Lifeguard (NL) certification
  • Provincial Canoeing/Kayaking Certifications
  • Pleasure Craft Operator License
  • Belay Training by an accredited organization
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training
  • BC Class 4 Driver's License
  • FOODSAFE Level 1 certification
