Job Summary

EXP is seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Engineer to join its team in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA). As a Senior Environmental Engineer, you will be responsible for providing leadership, training, and operational support to junior and intermediate staff in the areas of environmental site assessment, remediation, and risk assessment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior and intermediate staff in the areas of environmental site assessment, remediation, and risk assessment.
  • Manage the technical, schedule, and budgetary elements of projects and ensure compliance with site, corporate, and regulatory standards.
  • Serve as a resource in your field of expertise and provide expert advice to internal stakeholders.
  • Analyze and prepare documentation, presentations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engage with other senior members within the firm to advance our brand and standing with clients.

Requirements

  • Professional Engineer designation in Ontario.
  • Over 10 years of experience in the environmental field in Ontario, with a preference for those with consulting experience.
  • University degree in Engineering.
  • Knowledge of provincial and federal guidelines for contaminated sites assessments.
  • Experience in contaminated sites investigations (Phase I/One and II/Two ESAs) is a requirement.
  • Experience in remediation and risk assessment (with a focus on Risk Management Plans) is preferred.
  • A motivated, self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated individual.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as technical writing ability.
