We are seeking a skilled Yard Forklift Operator to join our team at Randstad Canada. As a Yard Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating a forklift to transport materials within the yard or warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a forklift to transport materials within the yard or warehouse.
  • Load and unload trucks and delivery vehicles with precision and efficiency.
  • Organize the yard to optimize space and accessibility of materials.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on forklift equipment and report any issues.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet operational goals.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years at minimum experience as a forklift operator in a yard or warehouse environment.
  • Valid forklift certification or license is required.
  • Must be comfortable with handling materials like lumber, wood products, and tiles.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Reliable, punctual, and with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to operate other yard equipment, such as pallet jacks or hand trucks.
