We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care in a rural hospital setting. Your expertise and leadership will contribute to creating a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff, and others.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing practice, with a commitment to maintaining clinical competencies through ongoing education and training. They will be responsible for providing care to a diverse patient population, working effectively in a multi-disciplinary team, and demonstrating sound decision-making skills in crisis situations.
We offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $39.76 to $49.01 hourly, with opportunities for advancement and professional growth. Our benefits package includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Registered or eligible for licensure with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing
- Required or must obtain within 1-2 years of hire: CTAS, EPICC – Foundations, BLS-C, ACLS, PALS, EPICC – Pediatrics, Trauma course, and ENC Certification
- Previous acute care experience an asset
- Emergency Nursing Program or Critical Care Nursing Program an asset
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with patients/residents, families, other healthcare providers, and staff
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team
- Basic computer skills
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
