Agricultural Laborer

At Monette Farms BC Ltd., we are seeking a skilled and physically fit Agricultural Laborer to join our team. As an essential member of our farm crew, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our vegetable farming operations.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working outdoors and has a strong work ethic. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to vegetable farming, including but not limited to:

• Grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to size, shape, color, and volume to fetch high prices in the market.
• Hand harvesting vegetables and fruits.
• Packing fruits and vegetables.
• Planting, cultivating, and irrigating crops.
• Weeding.
• Fertilizing and spraying crops.
• Harvesting crops.
• Loading, unloading, and transferring crates, supplies, and farm produce, livestock, and poultry.
• Examining products for quality and readiness for the market.
• Performing general farm duties.
• Maintaining farm machinery, equipment, and buildings.

We prefer candidates with experience in agriculture or a related field. Familiarity with operating farm machinery and equipment is an asset. You should have a basic understanding of crop management and disease control.

The selected candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) regularly. They must also be willing to work long hours during peak season and adapt to changing weather conditions.
