We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Southlake Regional Health Centre.

About the Role

The Medical Laboratory Technologist provides a professional service in laboratory analyses and interpretation of Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Transfusion Medicine/Immunology. This role contributes to the hospital's goal of delivering exceptional patient care by providing accurate and timely results in a manner consistent with professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory analyses and interpretation of results in Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Transfusion Medicine/Immunology
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of laboratory policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and timely results
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory services
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest laboratory technologies and techniques

Requirements

  • Graduate from a recognized Medical Laboratory Technology program and CSMLS certification as a General MLT
  • 30 hours of continuing education credits every year as per CMLTO
  • Member in good standing with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO)
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated problem assessment skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork
  • Demonstrated individual leadership skills
