Job Description

The Ambassador will serve as the face and voice of our organization, representing our values, mission, and goals to the public. This role involves engaging with various stakeholders, promoting our initiatives, and building strong relationships with the community and other key audiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the Organization: Act as the primary representative of GROW Women Leaders at public events, media appearances, and community engagements.
  • Promote the Organization's Mission: Promote the organization's mission, values, products, or services to the target audience.
  • Advocate for the Organization: Serve as an advocate for GROW Women Leaders, speaking on behalf of the organization to generate positive awareness and support.
  • Develop and Share Engaging Content: Develop and share engaging content across social media platforms to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  • Organize and Host Events: Assist in organizing and hosting events to support the organization's goals.
  • Educate the Public: Educate the public about the organization's initiatives and products.
  • Provide Information and Answer Questions: Provide accurate information and answer questions from the public or media.

Responsibilities

The Ambassador will be responsible for:

  • Actively Promote the Organization's Goals: Actively promote the organization's goals, services, or products to increase brand visibility and awareness in the community and beyond.
  • Develop and Maintain Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community leaders, influencers, media, and potential partners.
  • Interact with the Community: Interact with the community, clients, and the general public to build trust and rapport, fostering positive relationships that support the organization's goals.
  • Assist in Event Planning: Assist in the planning and execution of events by providing input on strategy, messaging, and logistics.
  • Engage with Followers: Actively engage with followers on social media platforms, posting content, responding to comments, and driving conversations that align with the organization's objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team: Collaborate with the marketing team to create and share compelling content, such as blog posts, videos, and photos that highlight the organization's work and impact.
  • Monitor Online Presence: Keep track of online mentions and feedback about the organization, providing insights to the team and helping to maintain a positive digital presence.
  • Report on Public Perceptions: Regularly report back to the organization on public perceptions, event outcomes, and engagement effectiveness, offering suggestions for improvement.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to clearly and persuasively convey the organization's message in both formal and informal settings.
  • Content Creation Skills: Proficient in creating written content, including emails, reports, social media posts, and public speaking scripts.
  • Active Listening Skills: Capable of attentively listening to others, understanding their needs, and responding thoughtfully.
  • Cultural Competence: Ability to engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds, understanding and respecting cultural differences.
  • Storytelling Skills: Uses effective techniques to capture and maintain audience interest, such as storytelling and interactive elements.
  • Social Media Skills: Proficient in using social media platforms to engage with audiences, promote events, and enhance the organization's online presence.
  • Content Creation Skills: Ability to create compelling digital content, including photos, videos, and graphics that align with the organization's brand.
  • Knowledge of Promotional Strategies: Knowledge of promotional strategies for events, including digital marketing, PR, and community outreach.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum Requirement: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in public relations, marketing, community outreach, event management, or a related field.
  • Proven Track Record: Proven track record of representing brands, organizations, or causes in public or media-facing roles.
  • Public Speaking Experience: Public speaking experience in public speaking, media interviews, or similar high-visibility roles is highly desirable.
  • Social Media Skills: Familiarity with social media platforms, content creation, and digital engagement strategies.
  • Networking Skills: Strong networking skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community leaders, influencers, and the public.
  • Influencing Skills: Natural ability to engage, inspire, and influence others.
  • Professional Appearance: Confident and poised in public settings, with a professional appearance.
  • Commitment to Diversity: Genuine interest and passion for BIWOC and Immigrants, with a commitment to promoting its values and mission.
