About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Professional to join our team at various Innergex hydroelectric sites. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance projects independently and collaboratively with supervisors and plant managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues on PLCs, HMI, and programming software;
  • Monitor performance indicators and detect anomalies;
  • Recognize and solve problems with electrical equipment, including auxiliary equipment, alternators, transformers, disconnectors, and controls;
  • Perform and/or supervise tests or repair work on power equipment in our facilities;
  • Plan corrective work and perform preventive maintenance and repair of equipment;
  • Ensure on-site interventions align with production optimization;
  • Guide suppliers on site and follow up on projects;
  • Supervise pre-operational verifications and commissioning of new electrical equipment;
  • Write verification, anomaly, and follow-up reports;
  • Adhere to safety requirements and rules;
  • Be available for on-call duties.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A DEC in Electrodynamics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Electronics, or equivalent;
  • An Electrician's License (outside construction) is an asset;
  • Training in electrical testing, arc fault danger, and Hydro-Québec's Work Code is an asset;
  • Familiarity with electrical testing on power equipment (disjoncteurs, transformateurs, sectionneurs, alternateurs, etc.) and testing equipment (Doble, TTR, Megger, etc.) is an asset;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook);
  • Familiarity with Schneider, Basler, SEL, GE, AutoCAD software is an asset;
  • Knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations for work execution;
  • Bilingualism (functional English and French, both written and spoken) is required for collaboration with external stakeholders.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary ($62,000 - $75,000 per year), annual bonus, three weeks' vacation during the first year of employment, paid time off during the holiday season, 100% employer-paid insurance coverage from day one, group plan, stock purchase plan with employer participation, career development opportunities, and an on-call premium.

Additional Considerations

This position is available throughout the Quebec City/Levis area. You must have a valid unrestricted Class 5 driver's license and a passport. Flexible travel may be required (approximately 40-50% of the time), with trips ranging from 2 to 10 consecutive days depending on needs.
