As a key member of our parks department, you will be responsible for leading and supervising a team of seasonal staff responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of city parks, playing fields, and other green spaces. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the beauty and maintenance of our city's natural areas.

Key Accountabilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of seasonal staff in the delivery of the vegetative management program during the summer months
- Oversee the operation of various equipment and vehicles for tasks such as pesticide application, snow removal, and park maintenance
- Perform hands-on tasks related to park maintenance, including plant identification, pruning, and repair of park furniture
- Ensure the safety of your team and the public by following all City of Edmonton safety protocols and procedures

Requirements:
- 2-year diploma in Horticulture, Natural Resources, Agriculture, Environmental Science or other related sciences
- Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in parks construction, maintenance, and operations, including one year of labor experience in parks
- Possession of a valid herbiciding license (class - Landscape)
- Emergency First Aid Certificate
- Completion of City of Edmonton Foremanship Training I
