About this Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled L1 Software Developer to join our 5G Cloud RAN Distributed Unit's baseband team in Ottawa. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for systemizing and implementing baseband algorithms in our vDU product, driving innovation and excellence in the field of 5G/6G technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement NR Physical Layer functions running on the Virtual DU side or on UE side, focusing on scalability, resilience, and performance.
  • Deliver product and test code that leverages a DevOps infrastructure, ensuring rapid feature parity in Stand Alone and Hybrid network environments.
  • Collaborate with international, agile, and multi-site teams to drive software solutions, on-time and with quality.
Requirements
  • MSc degree in Electrical engineering or Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Strong competence in C/C++ is a must.
  • Demonstrated ability in embedded software design.
  • Solid understanding of LTE & NR 3GPP specifications, especially in the area of the Physical Layer is a plus.
  • Consistent track record to deliver complex software solutions, on-time and with quality.
  • Ability to work in international, agile and multi-site teams both collaboratively and autonomously.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, time management, and multitasking skills.
Additional Qualifications
  • Cloud Native core design principles – microservices, containers, pods, master/worker nodes.
  • Developing through the Cloud Native Development Pipeline and software content management principles and tools – CI/CD (DevOps), git, Gerrit, GitHub, Jenkins, Spinnaker.
  • AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with Nvidia tool chain, CUDA, Kernel design, will be a plus.
