Job Summary

The Relief Pharmacist will provide pharmacy services and support to customers, medical practitioners, and other retail pharmacies. This role requires a licensed pharmacist to work within assigned territory, achieving excellence in patient-focused care, customer service, workflow efficiencies, and professional clinical services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical services, including disease state management, medication reviews, and health risk assessments.
  • Prescribe medication safely, prioritizing technical functions for Pharmacy Assistants when available.
  • Initiate care plans, follow up, and document patient information.
  • Coach pharmacy students and Pharmacy Assistants, if applicable.
  • Collect relevant patient, drug, and disease information.
  • Identify actual and potential drug-related problems.
  • Monitor medication adherence and provide patient counseling for new therapy.
  • Tailor counseling to patient needs and concerns, including literacy, hearing loss, and privacy.
  • Exceed customer expectations through ROLES efficiencies and provide superior customer service.
  • Understand all PROfile offerings and provide each customer with the program that meets their health needs.

Requirements

Technical Skills:

  • Strong communication skills (oral and written).
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-directed and able to work independently to meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to be a team player in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
  • Must be a Licensed Pharmacist in the province of responsibility.
  • Injection Certification.
  • Previous experience in a retail and/or retail pharmacy setting preferred.
