Job Title: Senior Platform Engineer

GuruLink is seeking a highly skilled Senior Platform Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our Microsoft Azure infrastructure and platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Infrastructure Management: Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our Azure infrastructure, including AKS nodes, virtual machines, SQL databases, networks, and storage.
  2. Automation: Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment, patching, and maintenance tasks.
  3. Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor and troubleshoot system issues, utilizing tools like Azure Monitor, Grafana, Prometheus, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
  4. CI/CD Integration: Work with Azure DevOps Pipelines and other CI/CD tools to efficiently deploy, update, and manage our applications and services.
  5. Kubernetes Mastery: Manage and optimize our Azure Kubernetes clusters, ensuring peak performance, security, and timely updates.
  6. Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to innovate and improve the platform's performance, security, and scalability.
  7. Collaboration and Initiative: Collaborate with the development and DevOps teams to ensure platform alignment with industry standards.
  8. Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation and runbooks for our infrastructure, automation processes, and platform changes.
Requirements:
  1. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Azure infrastructure and platform support.
  2. Hybrid Cloud Proficiency: Experience with hybrid cloud environments.
  3. Security / Identity Management: Experience with network security, policies, and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory).
  4. Databases: Skills in Azure Blob storage and Azure databases, including Azure SQL Database/Server, Azure PostgreSQL, etc.
  5. Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Terraform, Kubernetes, Python, PowerShell, and CI/CD Platforms such as Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
  6. Monitoring Tools: Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting tools, including Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
  7. Networking and Security: Strong understanding of networking and security principles in Azure.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Certification: Azure certification demonstrating proficiency.
  2. Kafka Experience: Previous experience with Kafka.
  3. AI/ML Platforms: Familiarity with AI/ML platforms.
  4. Multi-Cloud Expertise: Experience in other cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Rackspace.
