  • Job Overview
  • MRO Buyer will complete all aspects of purchasing, including developing and implementing short- and long-term procurement strategies to reduce costs and improve quality and service.
  • Responsible for PO setup/maintenance, vendor setup/maintenance, and reviewing requisitions and initiating purchase orders for supplies.
  • Use proven procurement methodologies, best practices, governing laws, policies, and market conditions relevant for the purchase, ensuring fair and transparent procurement.
  • Communicate and manage relationships with suppliers and stakeholders, both internal and external, to help mitigate any issues in a proactive manner.



  • IMS Coordinator Responsibilities
  • Provide support to maintain and develop KI's ISO Quality systems, including handling, processing, and issuance for the maintenance of projects and Quality Management System documentation in accordance with agreed procedures.
  • Lead auditor and coordinator for all internal and external audits, including cost of quality (COQ) analysis of customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze and assimilate data from several sources to generate reports and findings for current and future quality profiling and corrective measures, ensuring accurate utilization of data.
  • Act as KI Canada resource for all related COQ information.


Essential Functions


  • Completing all necessary aspects of procurement for the MRO Buyer Function, including PO setup, meeting with and understanding the requirements for Maintenance and Manufacturing for supplies, materials, and replacement parts.
  • Developing and managing inventory stocking programs for commonly used replacement parts and supplies.
  • Proactively procuring supplies and replacement parts for upcoming preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Ordering and expediting parts for equipment breakdowns.
  • Working collaboratively with Manufacturing and Maintenance on projects and programs.


IMS Coordinator Requirements


  • Planning internal and external audits, completing Management Review meetings, upkeep of IMS training packages, and completing presentations.
  • Maintaining IMS program, including PRFs, completing COQ reports weekly, monthly, quarterly, and for annual distribution.
  • Analysis of data as required.


Education and Experience


  • Postsecondary diploma/degree (an asset)
  • Procurement experience (an asset)
  • Quality and Environmental Systems Management experience


Certifications/Licenses


  • ISO standards auditor training (may be completed upon hire)


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities


  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency in MRP system usage
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team
