Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Meat Clerk to join our team at Federated Co-operatives Limited. As a Meat Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and stocking meat products, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prepare, wrap, and price meat products according to company standards.
  • Ensure that meat displays are fully stocked and properly faced.
  • Perform value-added duties such as cutting and wrapping meat products.
  • Practice safe food handling procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Experience with food preparation is an asset; training is available.
  • Capable of working in a cold/refrigerated environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; some heavy lifting is required.
