Job Title: Telecommunication Line Technician

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunication Line Technician to join our team at GN Systems Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunication equipment and networks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment
  • Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment
  • Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders or other support structures
  • Connect, disconnect and relocate cable outlets
  • Install cable modems and software to enable Internet access
  • Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers and amplifiers
  • Splice, join and connect wires
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Willing to travel
  • Attention to detail
  • Repetitive tasks
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking
  • Physically demanding
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling
  • Manual dexterity
