Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at Black River Logistics ltd. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive Safely: Operate a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods across the country, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Load and unload goods at designated locations, ensuring accurate and efficient handling.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Communication: Relay information to central dispatch and receive updates on cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Certificates and Licenses: Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, handling heavy loads, and repetitive tasks.
Work Environment:

As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be working in a fast-paced environment, often away from home for extended periods. You will be required to work 40 to 50 hours per week, with flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and routes.
