Job Summary

Murata Power Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Embedded Firmware Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for designing, documenting, and integrating digital hardware and software within leading-edge power conversion products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop digital control and power management embedded functionality for power supply products.
  • Ensure technical integrity through bench verification and qualification testing.
  • Develop circuits and perform tests and evaluations for design verification and integrity.
  • Mentor other engineers in the development of various products.
  • Review PCB layouts and other design documents prior to their release for procurement or production.
  • Research and vet new technologies for future product needs.
  • Interface with customers and vendors to communicate technical information.
  • Supervise and guide the work of technologists assigned to design projects.

Requirements

  • BSEE with 5 years or MSEE with 3 years of experience in designing and developing digital hardware and software within leading-edge power conversion products.
  • Proficient in the use of MathCAD, PSpice, and other design software tools.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of high-frequency high-density switching power supply design, including circuit topologies, control theories, loop compensation, magnetics design, EMI/RFI, supervisory functions, and PCB layout.
  • Experience in general-purpose uC/digital signal controller/DSP/SOC embedded control design.
  • Experience in analog/digital/mixed-signal/instrumentation/signal path analysis and design.

Working Conditions

Onsite with four days in-office and one flex day a week.
