Dnaagdawenmag Binnoojiiyag Child & Family Services is a multi-service Indigenous Child Well-Being Agency that provides wraparound services to children, youth, and families. We are seeking a qualified Indigenous Child Advocate to join our team.
About the Role:
- Work closely with clients, families, and community partners to identify and address the unique needs of each individual.
- Provide advocacy and support services to ensure that clients receive access to necessary resources and services.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote cultural safety and inclusivity within our agency.
- Participate in community outreach and engagement initiatives to raise awareness about our services and programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct home visits and assessments to determine the needs of each client.
- Develop and implement case plans that meet the unique needs of each client.
- Provide advocacy and support services to ensure that clients receive access to necessary resources and services.
- Collaborate with other professionals to provide comprehensive support services to clients.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in social work or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of two years' experience in child welfare and/or Indigenous service delivery.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
