About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at WIH Construction Inc. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing structures and fixtures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimation and Planning
    • Prepare detailed estimates of labor and material costs for construction projects.
    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements.
  • Construction and Installation
    • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials to create structures and fixtures.
    • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
    • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware.
  • Work Environment and Physical Demands
    • Work in a fast-paced construction environment with varying temperatures and physical demands.
    • Stand for long periods, lift heavy materials, and use hand tools and power equipment.
  • Experience and Qualifications
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
    • Permanent employment with a regular schedule of 32 to 40 hours per week.
    • Fluency in English as the primary language of communication.
