About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Continuing Care Assistant to join our team at MacLeod House Baddeck. As a Continuing Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality care and support to our residents in a rural setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist residents with daily activities, such as eating, walking, and using the bathroom.
  • Monitor and report any changes in a resident's condition to the nursing staff.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans for residents.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care.

Requirements:

  • College/CEGEP diploma in a related field.
  • Continuing Care Assistant Certification.
  • Health Care Aide Certificate.
  • Adult Abuse Registry check.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
