About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Consulting Arborist to join our team at Eocene Environmental Group. As a key member of our utility vegetation management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of power to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vegetation surrounding utility infrastructure to identify potential risks and develop strategies for mitigation.
  • Collaborate with landowners and stakeholders to ensure access and consent for vegetation management activities.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control protocols to ensure compliance with client requirements.
  • Provide expert advice on tree identification, invasive species management, and sustainable forestry practices.
  • Work closely with our team to develop and implement innovative solutions for utility vegetation management.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of forestry and arboriculture principles, including tree identification and invasive species management.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel and work in rugged terrain and inclement weather.
  • Proficient in map navigation skills and Microsoft Office software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Integrated Resource Management diploma, Forestry Resource Technology diploma, or BSc in Forestry.
  • Ability to obtain ISA Arborist Certification within 12 months of hire.
  • One or more years of experience in utility vegetation management or a related field.
