Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced EarlyON Designate to join our team at the YMCA of Three Rivers. As a key member of our Early Years team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality early years programs and services that meet the needs of children, parents, and caregivers in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality early years programs and services that align with the YMCA of Three Rivers' mission and values.
  • Provide leadership and support to EarlyON staff, students, and volunteers to ensure the delivery of high-quality programs and services.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including the Child Care and Early Years Act (2014), and YMCA of Three Rivers' policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with EarlyON leadership and other stakeholders to develop and implement strategies to improve program quality and outcomes.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in early years programming.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders to promote the YMCA of Three Rivers' early years programs and services.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the EarlyON program budget and ensure effective use of resources.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of quality improvement plans.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the EarlyON Supervisor or other senior leaders.
Requirements
  • Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in early years programming, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of early years theory and practice, including How Does Learning Happen? and the Ontario Pedagogy for the Early Years.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with staff, parents, and community partners.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Valid G driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
