We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our Water Business Sector team in the Greater Toronto Region. As a key member of our Mobility Solutions Team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering linear infrastructure projects, including water and wastewater systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to deliver complex linear infrastructure projects.
  2. Design and develop water and wastewater infrastructure systems, including collection, distribution, and transmission systems.
  3. Work with cross-functional teams to execute design engineering consulting services related to linear environmental infrastructure.
  4. Support the lead designer in the detailed design of linear projects and coordinate with other disciplines.
  5. Develop and maintain project plans, anticipate and address project issues, and direct the timely completion of technical deliverables.
  6. Communicate and interact with project teams, clients, permitting agencies, and other stakeholders to achieve project success and build lasting partnerships.
  7. Display strong communication and interpersonal skills, representing the project's interest throughout the project life cycle.

Requirements:

  1. Registered as a P.Eng or eligible for registration within 12 months.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  3. 4+ years of related linear water and wastewater infrastructure experience in municipal design and construction, preferably in a consulting engineering environment on municipal client projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Proficient in integrated 3D environment software, such as Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, or BIM.
  2. Familiarity with water distribution, sanitary, and storm sewer system modeling and software.
  3. Contract administration experience, including site reviews, shop drawing reviews, contractor submittal reviews, change orders, and responding to requests for information.
  4. Knowledge of municipal linear water, sanitary, and storm infrastructure design standards and guidelines, as well as construction best practices.
  5. Ability to produce quality work products and provide excellent client service.
  6. Understanding of Provincial, Regional, and Local Agency approval and permitting requirements.
  7. Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  8. Functions well within a fast-paced environment and thrives within a team.
  9. Proficient verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
  10. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of products.
