Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Millwright Industrial to join our team at Maple Leaf Foods Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment, including automated and robotic systems, conveyor systems, and electrical and electronic controls.
  • Perform routine maintenance work on machinery, including fabricating parts, operating machining tools, and programming programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Work at heights, in noisy environments, and with confined spaces, and handle heavy loads and physically demanding tasks.
  • Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions, and develop solutions to improve equipment performance.
Requirements
  • Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Red Seal Endorsement.
  • Experience with automated and robotic systems, conveyor systems, and electrical and electronic controls.
  • Ability to work at heights, in noisy environments, and with confined spaces.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
