Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Youth Outreach Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide youth outreach services to clients, building trusting relationships through consistent engagement and support.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing outreach services in schools and community spaces as needed
  • Mentoring, counseling, and advocating for youth to encourage social inclusion and increase life skills capacity
  • Facilitating life skills workshops, support groups, and recreational groups
  • Collaborating with community partners to maintain strong relationships

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A post-secondary diploma in Child and Youth Care or a related field
  • A minimum of three years' experience in a related field
  • Membership in the Ontario Child and Youth Care Association or a relevant professional accrediting organization
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with at-risk youth, community partners, and youth organizations
