STEM Innovation Academy Guest Teacher

STEM Innovation Academy is a public charter junior high school located in SW Calgary, serving over 400 students in grades 7-9. We are excited to be expanding our program to high school in a new location in the fall of 2022.
Our MissionWe believe every student can be successful in STEM and should have the opportunity to learn about cutting-edge science and technology topics. Our mission is to inspire the next generation to be knowledgeable creators, innovators, and responsible leaders.
Position InformationWe are seeking a Casual Guest Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will have a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate and a Bachelor of Education Degree or equivalent recognized by Alberta Education.
- Strong ability to positively relate to students
- Willingness to be adaptable teaching various subjects and grade levels
- Good classroom management skills
- Confidence, skill, knowledge and understanding of differentiated instruction, student engagement strategies, and assessment practices
- Competent in using online learning support tools such as MS 365 for Education, Schoology, GradeCam, Edwin, etc.
