Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer massage techniques through soft tissue manipulation, relaxation techniques, hydrotherapy, trigger point therapy, and joint pain and lower grade mobilizations.
  • Apply finger and hand pressure to specific points of the body to promote relaxation and relieve pain.
  • Explain procedures, risks, and benefits to clients, ensuring they are fully informed and comfortable throughout the treatment.
  • Maintain accurate records of treatments given, including client information and treatment plans.
  • Massage and knead muscles and soft tissues of the body to promote relaxation and relieve pain.
  • Suggest home care instructions and provide information about techniques to clients, ensuring they can continue to benefit from the treatment at home.
Requirements:
  • Certification by a provincial or territorial association for massage therapists.
  • Valid driver's licence for transportation to and from client locations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
