High-Performance Infrastructure Engineer

Squarepoint Capital seeks a skilled High-Performance Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Montreal. The ideal candidate will design, build, and maintain scalable compute and storage services, leveraging expertise in Linux platforms and distributed storage systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement efficient system management strategies at scale through standardization, automation, testing, and monitoring
- Enforce development standards for source control, testing, and continuous integration for infrastructure, OS, patches, and configuration management
- Manage large-scale distributed compute environments and petabyte-scale storage systems
- Install, manage, and monitor the Linux operating system (RHEL based)
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues throughout the stack
- 5+ years of experience in technology infrastructure roles, including Linux administration
- Experience with configuration management driven administration using tools like Chef or Ansible
- Proficiency in Python, Go, Rust, or other high-level languages
- Knowledge of modern software development: version control, agile development, ci/cd
- Observability in distributed systems: Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana
- Experience working with cloud providers: AWS and GCP
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to fast-paced environments
- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline or related area
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The salary for this position is estimated to be around $120,000-$180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
