Job Title: Hotel Managing Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Managing Supervisor to join our team at BEST WESTERN PLUS PARRY SOUND. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our hotel, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and that our staff are well-trained and motivated.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Co-ordination and Scheduling: Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Work Schedules and Procedures: Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Staff Supervision: Perform same duties as workers supervised and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and submit reports to management on a regular basis.
  • Problem-Solving and Technical Advice: Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Client Support: Assist clients/guests with special needs and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Work Co-ordination and Review: Co-ordinate, assign, and review work to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Staff Training and Development: Hire and train staff in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies.
Support for Diverse Groups:
  • Accessibility and Inclusion: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
  • Accessible Recruitment: Applies accessible and inclusive recruitment policies that accommodate persons with disabilities.
  • Newcomer and Refugee Support: Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster and supports them with foreign credential recognition.
  • Youth Support: Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth and provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
  • Veteran Support: Offers workshops, counselling services, or other resources to help Veterans navigate their transition into the civilian workforce.
  • Indigenous Support: Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Mature Worker Support: Applies hiring policies that discourage age discrimination and provides phased retirement options that allow mature workers to gradually reduce their workload.
  • Visible Minority Support: Applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities and provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment.
