Senior Data Center Solutions Architect

Lenovo is a global leader in the technology industry, and we're seeking a highly skilled and talented individual to join our team as a Solution Architect in Technology Transformation.
We're looking for someone who can drive field sales for our Data Center product line as part of our Lenovo field sales team. This role requires establishing and maintaining trusted relationships with customer accounts across various technical users and influencers to the C-suite.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and delivering technical content across a broad customer audience, architecting solutions for the Data Center from our portfolio of products and partnerships, and driving and supporting sales objectives to meet or exceed bookings and revenue targets.
This role also involves acting as an author for technical responses to proposal requests, driving configurations, demos, and interoperability issues to achieve client solution needs, and ensuring successful deployment of solutions once purchased and providing the highest level of customer experience in challenging post-sales situations.
We're looking for someone who can adeptly translate customer's Data Center needs and problems into technical solutions, demonstrate a business transformation and solution-selling approach, and understand and articulate Lenovo's vision, strategy, and architectural approach to a wide variety of Data Center solution spaces.
This role requires working in partnership with regional sales teams and partners to drive solutions business, working with partners, integrators, and other go-to-market channels in the territory to help plan and execute a Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions sales plan, and pursuing new strategies and technologies to make sales efforts highly effective for customers.
The successful candidate will reside or be willing to relocate to the following states: Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia.
Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience, and a minimum of 5+ years' experience in a Sales Engineer role with a proven track record in leading and winning major server, networking, and/or storage business to Data Center clients.
We're looking for a self-starter with the ability to drive technical collaboration across diverse customer and internal groups, knowledge and experience with server and desktop virtualization, software-defined solutions, cloud, storage, business continuity, systems management, and Data Center operations, and hands-on experience with VMWare, Linux, HyperV, Windows Server, Nutanix, systems management products, and x86 systems.
