Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at Modular Fabrication. The ideal candidate will have expertise in welding techniques and be proficient in reading blueprints. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects and contribute to the fabrication process.

Key Responsibilities:

- Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
- Assemble steel parts into complete assemblies as per shop drawings
- Operate overhead cranes to move and assemble parts
- Use lifting gear properly to ensure parts are assembled safely
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), and shielded metal arc welding (SMAW)
- Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
- Always maintain safe work practices

Requirements:

- Proven experience in welding and metal fabrication
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Knowledge of machining processes and mechanical principles
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
