About the Role

The Director, Cyber Security position is a critical leadership role that oversees the development and implementation of a comprehensive cyber security strategy, framework, program, and roadmap for Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan (OTPP). This individual will work closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders to ensure that OTPP's cyber security posture is aligned with its business objectives, cyber risk appetite, and required regulatory obligations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive cyber security strategy, aligning with OTPP's business objectives, cyber risk appetite, and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and maintain robust cyber security policies, standards, procedures, and controls to protect OTPP's information assets.
  • Oversee the cyber security incident response process, ensuring timely identification, containment, mitigation, and resolution of incidents.
  • Provide cyber security advisory services to business and technology stakeholders, ensuring that cyber security requirements and best practices are documented and implemented.
  • Lead the cyber security awareness and education program, promoting a cyber-savvy culture within OTPP.
  • Manage the cyber-security due diligence process for third-party service providers, ensuring that cyber security risks/controls are identified and addressed.
  • Conduct and facilitate cyber security assessments and testing, ensuring that cyber security practices are working as expected.
  • Research and evaluate emerging cyber security trends, threats, and technologies, providing recommendations to enhance OTPP's cyber security posture.
  • Represent OTPP in various cyber security forums, committees, and working groups.
  • Manage and oversee OTPP's Cyber Security Program.
