Job Title: Educational Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educational Support Assistant to join our team at Prairie South Schools. As an Educational Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse needs and high behavioural needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with diverse needs and high behavioural needs in a classroom setting
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning and implementation
  • Provide individualized support to students as needed
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 diploma from a recognized educational institution
  • One year of post-secondary training related to student needs
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Ability to lift students and/or move objects (up to 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, and 20 lbs constantly)
